I love this product - I will refrigerate the cans, then stick one in the freezer about an hour before I want to drink it. The liquid freezes just a touch and makes the shake very cold with slight icy particles in it. Yum yum. Takes the place of breakfast and lunch and tastes really good.

If you are like me, unwilling to get up extra early, set the table, fix a meal, clear the table and do the dishes before going to work or just starting your day then this is the way to go. All you have to do is go to the refrigerator and get a can, pop it open and drink. It tastes good and there's no after taste to bug you all morning. It's plenty to give your body a little "get up and go" and only takes a few moments. If you haven't tried it - - - - you really should. Enjoy and feel better because you know you're treating your body right.

I cannot compare the different flavors of the slim fast line, but I have have tried this (High Protein), the Lo Carb, and the Optima.
The Optima tastes the best, but has less Protein than the others.
The High Protein has a . . . well . . . a thick taste to it that I kind of don't like but I've gotten used to it. I think it's a flavor associated with the added protein, as I've tasted this in other high protein drinks before. I realize that 'thick' is not actually a taste :-) but I cant find the words to describe it.
Then having read that the Lo Carb slim fast actually had more protein than the High Protein drink, I figured that I better give it a try YUCK!. To each their own as they say, but it tasted like saccharin coated chalk with chocolate.
Back to the review of the Chocolate Slim-Fast High Protein drink. It tastes good enough to me, not quite as good as the optima, but a close second and it has the extra protein that my doc recommended for my diet. OH, and I'm loosing weight. Of course it's the other things that I'm eating through the day that are making the difference. As they say, slim fast for lunch and a sensible meal for dinner, ect ect.
I'm going to stick to the High Protein but I intend to try some other flavors out. I'll post what I find.

The high protein S.F. is better than regular S.F. in that the sugar is reduced, but what I don't understand is way the low carb S.F. has 5g more protein (20g/can) than the "high protein" S.F. does (15g/can).
For my money I say the 20g protein 2 carb "low-carb slim fast" is a better item, but this is still much better than the high sugar and carb loaded regular slim fast.
Great for my out the door breakfast during the work week or when I don't have time for a sit down lunch.
Sign up for Amazon's auto shipments on these items and you can get them sent to your door every month for about $1 less per case then I can buy them at the store.

I frequently have to work till 6:30 or 7:00 PM and a can of this great chocolate flavored drink in the late afternoon is a wonderful snack that keeps me going! It's better than the regular slim fast because of the lower carbs. So it helps hunger and doesn't give my blood sugar an unneeded boost when I drink a can. Thanks Slim Fast!
