Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Perfect for use with the nasal wash system, Neti Pot Salt is the highest purity salt commercially available. It is non-iodized and contains no additives or anti-caking agents. Click Here to See How Neti Pot Works with Neti Salts DAILY CLEANSING ROUTINE Use your Neti Pot and related products every day to soothe and cleanse the nasal passages. The saline solution Rinsing the nasal passage with a properly mixed warm saline solution doesn t burn. It is best to use a pure, non-iodized salt, such as Neti Pot Salt or kosher salt. The amount you use depends on how finely the salt is ground. Use a slightly rounded 1/2 teaspoon for coarse varieties, like kosher salt, and a heaping 1/4 teaspoon for finely ground salt, such as Neti Pot Salt. Stir it into 8 ounces of warm water, until the salt is completely dissolved. You can mix the saline solution in your Neti Pot. If your tap water has an unpleasant taste or contains chemicals, consider warming some bottled water. If the water is too cool it may increase congestion. If it is too warm, it will irritate the delicate lining of the nose. Never use hot water. Head position The key to the nasal wash is holding your head in the proper position. Lean over the sink so you are looking directly into the basin, then rotate your head to the side so that one nostril is directly above the other. The forehead should remain level with the chin or slightly higher. (Figure on the left) Gently insert the spout into the upper nostril so that it forms a comfortable seal. Keep your mouth open and raise the handle of the Neti Pot so that the solution enters the upper nostril and drains out through the lower. (Figure on below right) If your head is rotated correctly and tilted at the proper angle, you can breathe comfortably through your mouth while the saline drains through the lower nostril. If the forehead is higher than the chin, the saline will drain into your mouth. When the Neti Pot is empty, rotate the head so you are looking into the sink an

I would suggest that you buy sea salt, and mix it 2 parts salt to 1 part baking soda. Sinuclense uses both ingredients an costs a fraction of what this does. Use sea salt, kosher salt, or even pickling salt, you want to make sure the salt you are using is pure. Don't overpay for convience.

2 out of 5 stars Doesn't Work for Me   May 27, 2008

I have been using it for 4 months, and I don't think this "Neti pot" thing works. I end up finding the right medicine (Zyrtech) that helps me a lot.

I am still using my Neti pot whenever I come back from an extended period in outdoor and right after bed time. The idea of cleaning up stuffs from my noses is still appealing. But I doubt this thing really works.

The only thing that I can recommend this Neti pot thing is that I can use it to clean up hardened stuffs from my noses easily using Neti pot. Water running though the hardened stuffs can quickly soften them and wash them away. It is definitely better than using any other mean to clean those stuffs.

Used in unison with the Neti Pot, this gentle salt solution is perfect for cleansing the sinuses. This is pharmaceutical grade salt that does not burn the sinuses. Great relief from sinus drainage and allergies.

I have not purchased this product. Here's why...

I buy 26-ounce sized non-iodized salt from my local Giant for 0.49 cents. I've been doing this successfully for years to treat my seasonal allergies, and allergic rhinitis.

I mix 1-teaspoon of the non-iodized salt into a quart container of luke-warm water. I then pour 8-ounces through each nostril using my neti pot, alternating between nostrils. This technique works quite well for me.

The family has been pleased with using the Neti Pot.
The purchased Mineral Salt to use in the Neti Pot is very soothing especially when you cannot go duck your head in the ocean waters at this time of the year.
