5 out of 5 stars No muss, no fuss!   September 1, 2010
Amanda L. Calhoon (California, USA)
I have a 7 month old, exclusively breastfed baby. Since we live in Alaska, we definitely needed a D supplement for him. I originally tried the Poly and Tri-V-Sol which were both horrid. They smelled terrible, were chock full of preservatives, dyes and unnecessary ingredients. These D drops are simple: D and coconut oil. One drop on my breast and my baby has his daily dose of D. He doesn't even know he is getting it! Having fought tooth and nail with him to try (in vain) to give him vitamins prior.... this is perfect.

5 out of 5 stars Something every breastfeeding mom should have   August 31, 2010
Chitownmom (Chicago)
After spending a month and half fighting my new daughter to give her regular Vitamian D drops I heard about Baby D drops and how easy they are to use. I could hug the person that told me about them. No more choking on drops or drooling half of the dose out of her mouth. I just put one drop on my breast when it is time for her to eat and we are good to go. Truly worth every penny.

5 out of 5 stars Very easy to use!   August 30, 2010

These are great because they are so easy to give to an infant - only one drop for the recommended daily dose. Also no added sugars/flavors, etc. Highly recommend!

5 out of 5 stars My baby loves it!   August 24, 2010
LittleRedRuby (Puget Sound, WA)
I give this stuff to my 9 month old and she seems to love it! I began giving it to her about a month ago and since then, she has had an explosion of new teeth come in! She has only had her bottom two teeth for the past 4 months, but after giving her this for about a week, all of a sudden all four of her front top teeth came in at once!!

I usually just put 2-3 drops on the end of her tongue and let her lick it off. Dr. David Holick says that babies and kids can take up to 2,000 IU's a day so I don't think giving her more than 400 IU's a couple times a week is putting her in danger at all. I also try to get her into the sunshine as often as possible along with the supplements.

This is a great book to read on Vitamin D if anybody is interested. A fast read and easy to understand for the lay person. The Vitamin D Solution: A 3-Step Strategy to Cure Our Most Common Health Problem

5 out of 5 stars Much better than Tri-V-Sol   August 1, 2010
panthur (Raleigh, NC)
We were using Tri-V Sol because my breastfed baby needed Vitamin D and I could not find D-Vi-sol in my local stores. The Tri-V-Sol made him horribly constipated. This is much better, it is clear and only one drop is required, so this bottle is about a year's worth! The Tri-V-Sol stained things and would not come out, and he hated the taste. This is tasteless. The only downside with this one is that sometimes I have to struggle to get it on before my nipple before the baby eats, he's usually in quite a hurry by the time I take it out! But he doesn't notice any taste and he's getting his vitamin D without the constipating iron.
