I have tried this NOW brand, Rexall and the GNC. GNC was the most expensive by far. Biotin does make your nails stronger, less brittle. My nails do not chip and peel near as much now. Seems to work better when taken with CFS Formula (even if you don't have CFS, this is a great Multi vitamin).

biotin is great for hair and cell growth. i have been taking biotin for a month now and i can see the difference.but i already have thick hair
i just wanted it to grow faster.yes it does work for me.so try this product if you want longer thicker hair.now it doesn't happen overnight. you have to pump your body with it for a month or two to see it working.

I have been taking the Biotin 5000 mcg for a little over a month now and am beginning to see amazing results. I have always had extremely brittle nails and I started to take this in combination with high doses of Vitamin D and Calcium and my nails have greatly improved. This stuff definitely works but it takes several weeks before you start seeing results.

After using this product for almost 2 weeks now there is a big improvement in my hair texture,silkier,smoother,and stronger.
