Not so natural anymore! OWNED BY CLOROX NOW! January 6, 2008 A parent (Michigan) 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
I love Burt's Bees lip balm, and diaper cream, and lots of their other products, and Burt's Bees USED TO BE a good choice for people trying to make greener choices for themselves and the environment. Not so anymore. Burt's Bees has been bought by CLOROX. Yes, that's right, CLOROX. As usual a decent green company has been sucked up by a major polluter. You can read about it in the New York Times Business section by using your search engine with the terms "Burt's Bees", "Clorox", and "New York Times". Clorox says it wants to learn to be more green. Yeah, sure! They just want a piece of the pie when it comes to taking the money of green conscious consumers. You can bet that they won't be putting the word "Clorox" on the Burt's Bees label! I for one am tired of trying to buy green and ending up padding the wallets of great big polluting corporations. If you want to buy personal products that are better for you and the environment, try using your search engine to search for "Compact for Safe Cosmetics". You will find lists of companies that are the real thing, and not corporate wolves hiding behind a natural label. BYE BYE BURT, WE LOVED YOU!
the absolute perfect moisturizer November 16, 2007 A. Whitley (MO United States) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am 31 years old with normal skin but this is the BEST moisturizer for me. It says for mature skin, which I would usually assume to mean 40's or older, but I've been using it since I was 26 with awesome results. I constantly get compliments on my complexion, and the one time I ran out of this day creme I saw my skin begin to dull and dry within just a week or so. Gotta have it...I stockpile this stuff!
Excellent natural face cream October 31, 2007 Really (Tokyo, Japan) Very simple yet rich, natural carrot base face cream that makes your face glow. Smells nice too.
one of my 'must-haves'!! September 27, 2007 organicmama (USA) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Burt's Bee's carrot creme is one of my have-to-have products. I wear it EVERY day on my face and neck...put it on immediately after showering and before going to bed. I love the smell (so does my husband!). Also, I have used this product for years before I run outdoors as it protects my skin from sun damage. A light layer is all that is needed.
Good moisturizer, but it's a little strange January 17, 2007 M. Wade 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I like this moisturizer, and it doesn't make my skin breakout. However, it has an orange tint that you can see on your skin. It looks fine on your skin though, maybe like a slight bronzer. However, it can also stain clothing, so be careful with it. It also has a unique smell--perhaps the carrots? It's not a bad smell, but I would characterize it as on the earthy side rather than on the perfumy side.
