Works Well For Me July 28, 2010 R. Mitchell (Cherryvale, KS. United States) I have tried other natural remedies for help with my insomnia, without much success. This stuff seems to work fairly well for me when taken as directed.
I naturally started feeling sleepy about 1/2 hour after taking the recommended two pills 1 hour before bedtime. Alteril doesn't knock me out like prescription sleep aids, it gently put me to sleep. I also always awakened feeling refreshed and not groggy and in a haze like I do with antihistamines.
This is a product that I would recommend if you are having trouble sleeping and are concerned about taking prescription sleep aids.
Does not work July 27, 2010 Stuart Korn (BOYNTON BEACH, FL, US) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
This product does not work, for it's intended use. It is a ripe off. I wish I could get my money back.
Wow...it actually works! July 20, 2010 Ian Joseph Baer 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've just never been a great sleeper. I've had a bad episode on Ambien, and the typical drug-based over the counter sleep aids don't do a thing for me except leave me feeling lousy the next day. This is a wonderful product. I've been a melatonin user for years, and have had inconsistent success with it, but in combination with Alteril's other ingredients it's great stuff. Makes you drowsy in about 20 minutes, and fast asleep soon thereafter. And if you tend to wake up during the night like me, you'll find you can get quickly back to sleep when taking Alteril...and much more refreshed in the morning from all that good, deep sleep. I cannot recommend this product highly enough.
Works very well so far, but no proof it's safe. June 8, 2010 A. Yates (Stamford, CT) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this item at CVS not knowing anything about the company. What I do know is the product works, it makes me tired and I easily fall asleep. Is it good for you? I don't know. All of the ingredient are marked on the box I purchased, however it is not approved by the FDA...
I paid less than $11 for 30 pills from CVS, it works for me, so I would recommend it. One of the benefits of purchasing it from a major retailer is it could be returned if you aren't satisfied. I would purchase this product again, unless I hear something bad about the ingredients.
I sometimes take Rx to aid in my PM sleep, this is a fine substitute.
Restless Leg Syndrome and Alteril May 1, 2010 Sara C. Mcalister (colorado) This is the first product I have ever taken for sleep that did not make me restless and jumpy. This includes prescription medications as well as OTC products. I have severe Restless Leg Syndrome and take Mirapex and Trazadone but symptoms often return after an hour or so. This medication allows peaceful sleep with no morning after sleepiness or other side effects.
